I find currency to be funny in most fantasy settings; I will mess with currency in this dungeon. The settlement on level two won't use coin for trade; they will operate a barter system. This will result in a small community where currency is tremendously undervalued. Raids by Green-Eyed bandits form an essential component of resource procurement for the cult; it's inevitable that the cult would accumulate currency that is effectively worthless on the level below.
