A tried-and-true favorite of many wizards, whatever their school.

Force Barrage is a favorite of Azure Archivist battle-magi, witchwarpers, and any caster who wants a clean, precise ranged option that doesn’t depend on local gravity, atmosphere, or ballistics.
Each shard is a miniaturized hard-light projectile: a sliver of solidified Rift-current wrapped in containment sigils, bright enough to curve around obstacles and strike a marked target even through murky air or shifting cover.
Chronologists sometimes use lower-rank castings to stress-test shields around Metronome sites. At the same time, Crimson Concord duelists lace their barrages with personal color—neon graffiti sigils, house logos, or faction tags streaking through the air.
On the darker side, Ebon Syndicate enforcers prefer Force Barrage in crowded stations because it leaves minimal collateral damage: clean impact, little splash, and no traceable ammo.

Deities Mistress of Seven Laws
Cast (2 Action, Activity)
Range 120 feet; Targets 1 creature
You fire a shard of solidified magic toward a creature that you can see. It automatically hits and deals 1d4+1 force damage. For each additional action you use when Casting the Spell, increase the number of shards you shoot by one, to a maximum of three shards for 3 actions. You choose the target for each shard individually. If you shoot more than one shard at the same target, combine the damage before applying bonuses or penalties to damage, resistances, weaknesses, and so forth.
Heightened (+2) You fire one additional shard with each action you spend.
Devotion and themes
Blue Devotion: treats Force Barrage as a controlled output of quantified mana—each shard a discrete “packet” of force, ideal for problem-solving under fire.
Red Devotion: leans into rapid, close-range flurries, using one-action pings to finish fleeing targets or three-action volleys as explosive opening gambits.
Black Devotion: favors surgical overkill—concentrating multiple shards into a single victim to overwhelm protections and make a very public example.
