Metabolic Manipulation Feat 1
Through careful experimentation and selective adaptation, you’ve manipulated your immune system and internal chemistry, enabling you to better fight off illness and infection. You gain the Fast Recovery skill feat and the Targeted Immunization action.
Targeted Immunization [free-action] (concentrate) Trigger You recover from a disease or poison; Effect You instinctively synthesize antigens that make you immune to the triggering disease or poison. This immunity lasts for the next day or until you next use Targeted Immunization.
Adventuring With Metabolic Manipulation
Disease Outbreak: A strange, rapidly evolving disease is sweeping through a densely populated area. The Barathu's ability to develop temporary immunity through "Targeted Immunization" makes them invaluable for research and containment. They could be recruited to enter quarantine zones, gather samples, and even directly test their immunities against the disease's variants.
Poisoned Environment: An area has been contaminated with a potent, unknown poison. The Barathu is sought after to help explore, survive, and potentially neutralize the threat. Their feat could allow them to adapt to the poison, making them the only ones capable of long-term exposure and investigation.
Alien Biology Study: A newly discovered alien species has an extremely unusual biology that reacts violently to known medicines and treatments. The Barathu, with their ability to manipulate their own internal chemistry, is asked to study and potentially find ways to interact with or even cure the alien creatures.
