Joining the Leadership; Guild Promotion

Promotion to senior membership is a rare honor, marking the character as a trusted leader and decision-maker. The Guild’s upper echelons now welcome their expertise, granting access to private archives, strategic meetings, advanced rituals, and the opportunity to mentor others and shape Guild policy. Those promoted are often issued formal insignia, master’s credentials, and a seat at the Guild’s local council.

At the Admired tier, the Guild recognizes lasting achievement, trust, and leadership. “Guild Promotion” elevates a character to higher rank within the Chronologists Guild, expanding their access to exclusive resources, deeper lore, policy influence, and direct participation in Guild administration and projects.

Guild Promotion Boon

Downtime

Faction: Chronologists Guild

Reputation Tier: Admired (15 to 30 Favor)

Cost: 20 Favor,

Effect: You become a senior member or officer within the Chronologists Guild. Benefits include:

  • Access to private Guild archives, secret rituals, and restricted lore (+3 circumstance bonus to Recall Knowledge and Research checks with Guild resources).

  • Right to attend strategic planning sessions, vote in local Guild matters, and propose mission or research initiatives.

  •  Spending Favor does not cause your standing with the Chronologist Guild to drop below Admired.

  • Invitation to participate in advanced research, special expeditions, or cross-Guild collaborations as a project lead.

  • Public recognition; social standing improves when dealing with governments, academic organizations, and influential individuals.

Special: Promotion may be revoked for serious misconduct, breach of policy, or neglect of obligations. Promotion can be advanced further (Legendary tiers) through epic story arcs or campaign events.

Guild Promotion locks in the character’s leadership role, rewarding loyalty and achievement with stewardship, authority, and the chance to shape the future of the Chronologists Guild—and maybe the timeline of the galaxy itself.
