In the ever-unfolding Sundered Cosmos, every Witchwarper nurtures a magical trick so practiced it echoes across all their possible selves—a “signature spell.” For some, this is a cosmic calling card, recognized by allies and adversaries as the Witchwarper’s most reliable and flexible reality edit. The spell is spoken of in starport legends or whispered on the edges of lost timelines: that was the time she split the ground in every future, or when his shield spell blocked a meteor in three possible worlds at once.
A signature spell weaves itself into your legend—essence, intent, and quantum discipline combining to make one working stand above all others, heightened and reshaped as needed. In a galaxy where possibilities are infinite, the signature spell is the surest mark of your unique path.
Signature Spell Class Feature 3
Source Player Core pg. 162
You've learned to cast some of your spells more flexibly. For each spell rank you have access to, choose one spell of that rank to be a signature spell. You don't need to learn heightened versions of signature spells separately; instead, you can heighten these spells freely. If you've learned a signature spell at a higher rank than its minimum, you can also cast all its lower-rank versions without learning those separately. If you swap out a signature spell, you can choose a replacement signature spell of the same spell rank at which you learned the previous spell. You can also retrain specifically to change a signature spell to a different spell of that rank without swapping any spells; this takes as much time as retraining a spell normally does.
Starfall Story Hooks
NPCs may identify Witchwarpers by the quantum “accent” of their signature spell—always a little different, always familiar, resonating through the Spiral.
Repeated use of a signature spell can become a motif for your character or adventure, with rumors proliferating of the Witchwarper who always finds a way to “rewrite” a scene with their reality-bending specialty.
Factions, rivals, or temporal anomalies might recognize a Witchwarper by their signature magic, leading to alliances, vendettas, or unexpected opportunities across parallel worlds.
A signature spell is more than just a powerful tool—it’s the Witchwarper’s claim in the infinite Starfall: the moment your story rises above the noise of the multiverse and becomes legend.
