You choose to travel abroad, leaving your birthplace to embark on a journey through the wider cosmos. During your daily preparations, you can study a particular ancestry, faction, philosophy, or religion to learn one of its edicts or anathemas and gain a broader understanding of its customs and traditions. While you follow that edict or anathema, you become trained in the associated lore. This proficiency lasts until you prepare again. Since this training is temporary, you can't use it as a prerequisite for a permanent character option like a feat or a skill increase.

To be a Stellar Nomad among the Tomenti is to be forever adrift yet always at home. From the day of your birth, the soft flicker of artificial night and the grand, luminous dome of the universe beyond your worldship marked the boundaries of your childhood. Legends passed from mouth to veiled mouth on markets and prayer decks teach you to see the Driftcaravan not as a cage, but as the living heart of your people.
Stellar Nomads are the quintessential guides and explorers. They speak with the tongue and gestures of every port, carry the rituals of lost Abnyau in their hearts, and chart pathways through Riftspace’s perils. Each nomad is a bridge—between Tomenti, between worlds, between past and possibility.
Stellar Nomads collect star maps and tokens from every journey, a living memory of their drifting home.
They serve as interpreters, arbiters, or intermediaries whenever two cultures clash on the market decks or negotiation chambers of the great worldships.
Their heritage is a promise: no matter how far across the galaxy one travels, kin and custom wait on the next shining deck beneath the hull-lights.
