The Foundry Confederation is an interplanetary organization whose current member planets, stations, and fleets have agreed to a common currency and participate in a loosely bound defensive pact.

Matopuko is the planet in the Memory system that is closest to the Sun, located just inside the orbit of Hala. It has no moon. It is the homeworld of the Anacite Union.

Foundry Station

Foundry Station is a sprawling, densely inhabited space station. Its inhabitants include races native to Memory System. The station is also a focal point of the galaxy due to the Driftstone, which makes the station effectively near every place in the galaxy via the Drift.

Economy

Most of the planets in the Memory system (except for parts of Leuthed and Kolides that have achieved post-scarcity) maintain a capitalist economy. This system is encouraged by the Church of the Vault, and on most worlds, people still must work for a living. The standard of living varies quite considerably from place to place. Foundry Station's government ensures that no sentient inhabitants go hungry, while on Fareema, conditions close to slavery still exist.

Culture

Most of the Pact Worlds system's inhabitants have learned to live in a fragile state of equilibrium with the hundreds, if not thousands, of different cultures and races found throughout the system. The majority realizes that imposing one's system of beliefs and morals on a wholly alien species is pointless and are content to live and let live.
