Prerequisites Nanite Surge
Your nanites augment your defenses. You can choose to activate Nanite Surge when you attempt a saving throw instead of when you attempt a skill check. If you do, you gain a +2 status bonus to the triggering saving throw.
Adventuring with Protective Nanites
The Hazardous Planet: The party is sent to a toxic, radiation-filled planet to retrieve a valuable artifact. The harsh environment will constantly test the character's durability and resilience, making the Protective Subroutine a crucial ability.

While humanoid, the RSA's exterior bears the marks of a life of labor. Scratches and dents mar its metallic shell, and its paint may be faded or chipped. Despite this, it holds itself with quiet dignity and efficiency. Common models include the "Handyman" series with a variety of tool attachments or the "Caregiver" model with softer features and a gentle demeanor. Their dependability and adaptability define RSAs. They are programmed to be helpful and accommodating, with a strong sense of duty. Their experiences in various roles have given them a practical, no-nonsense approach to problem-solving. They may express curiosity about the world and the beings they encounter, but their primary focus is on fulfilling their assigned tasks.
Thanks to their diverse work history, RSAs possess many practical skills. They can repair machinery, maintain structures, provide basic medical care, cook simple meals, and perform various other tasks. RSAs are built to last. Their robust construction and internal repair systems make them resistant to damage and wear and tear. They can operate in harsh environments and handle physically demanding tasks with ease. While not combat-oriented, RSAs have a strong urge to protect those they Serve. They will use their physical strength and resilience to shield others from harm and may even employ their tools and skills creatively to defend those in need.
