Precog; Seers of Time

"The starships drift through Spiraltides, but you sense the next pulse before it hits. The lights flicker along the hull, echoing a future both possible and avoidable. As a Precog, you have walked backward and forward along the Yom, the temporal lattice that holds civilization together. Fate’s patterns sing to you, possibility shimmering in every shadow."

In the Starfall setting, Precogs have survived events that fractured their position in time. Some hail from alternate timelines—sent on quests to prevent apocalypses or recover ancient knowledge. Others awaken to their power after alien experimentation, Riftstorms, or direct contact with temporal artifacts in decaying ruins.

Society sees Precogs with a mixture of awe and suspicion; they may seem distant, distracted by afterimages of futures that have not yet come to pass. Their warnings can tip the balance in battles and negotiations, but their uncanny knowledge draws the attention of major factions, all eager to harness or silence their vision.

Precog Witchwarper Paradox

Precog Witchwarpers in Starfall Galaxy have become unstuck in time, shuffling visions of lost pasts, forsaken tomorrows, and branching destinies wherever they go. The Precog Paradox grants access to occult magic traditions, time-manipulating powers, and focus spells that let you see and shape the tempo of events. This makes Precogs uniquely powerful at foreseeing threats, averting disasters, and bending timelines in both narrative and combat.

Key Mechanical Benefits:

Tradition: Occult, emphasizing time, fate, and probability.

Paradox Skill: Piloting

Paradox Spells: cantrip: injury echo; 1st: fleet step; 2nd: temporal bullets; 3rd: time's edge; 4th: weight of ages; 5th: chrono push; 6th: phantasmal calamity; 7th: true target; 8th: moment of renewal; 9th: foresight

Warp Spells: initial: warp time; advanced: accelerate; greater: time loop;

You and your allies gain a +5-foot status bonus to Speed during move actions that are used inside your quantum field.

Creating a Precog

Choose Precog if your character’s story involves:

  • Origin in a collapsed or forgotten timeline

  • First contact with ancient temporal relics or Time-based technology

  • Survivors or agents tasked with averting galaxy-scale catastrophe

Precog Roleplaying Hooks:

  • Deliver cryptic warnings others dismiss until it's too late

  • React to danger before it appears on the horizon

  • Lose yourself in visions during stressful situations

  • Unravel the mysteries of Spiraltide economy, Riftstorm history, or fate-smuggling syndicates
