Charlton City Heroes; Quill

Adapted From- Jab's Quill; Echos of the Multiverse; Maxwell Jordan- Marvel Database

This submission is derived from my home game. One of my players said simply I want Porcupine powers. Quill, Maxwell Jordan, was the closest analog i could think of. This character would be underpowered for our power level, so I borrowed a few traits from Wolverine to round out his animalistic characteristics. The Populace of Earth L26 are unaware of the existence of superpowered individuals nor is there a general awareness of mutants. The precise nature of Quill’s condition is unknown.

Quill was found in a national park as a child. He had no hair until around he was 11. At 14, Sharp quills began to grow from what would have otherwise been his hair follicles. He was adopted into a loving family; he grew into an optimistic outlook on life and a general respect for established institutions and the rule of law. He believes it's the responsibility of the strong to protect the weak. He wanted to join the military, but his condition prevented him from enlisting. The covert agency DOMAIN was aware of Quill’s efforts and recruited him onto the D-List

Charlton City Heroes; Supernova

Adapted From-Dabi- My Hero Academia Wiki; Jab's Human Torch; Echos of the Multiverse; Jonathan Storm- Marvel Database

This submission is derived from my home game. One of my players wanted to play a character bonded to elemental fire, Inspired by Shoto’s family in My Hero Academia. Supernova was developed as an alternate Human Torch.

Supernova derives his powers from his bloodline bonded to the Solar Flame. Supernova’s father was a successful DOMAIN officer who operated a clandestine strike team. When Supernova was young, his father collapsed into their home, mortally stabbed. Supernova has spent his life since trying to unravel the mystery of his father’s murder.

Leveraging family ties, Supernova was able to join DOMAIN. He hoped joining the covert organization would grant him access to secrets of his father's history and possibly new clues about his murder. Allowing DOMAIN to experiment on his powers, Supernova’s flame fundamentally changed. His powers took on a blue hue, that Supernova can wield with more fine-tuned control.

Powers

Fire Touched

The shimmer of the solar flame fortifies Supernova against damage from Heat. Immunity 6 Immune to Fire and Heat damage

Solar Flame

Supernova's principal power is his ability to manifest the Solar Flame. Each of his fire-based powers is derived from the Solar Flame. He can manifest a separate instance of solar flame from each of his hands because they are derived from the same power source. Using multiple powers at the same time diminishes their effect. Only one power can be used at one hundred percent of its power.

The Star Fireblast is a searing hot bolt cast toward a target.

Split-Fire Blast 10 With Alternate and Dynamic Effects

Dynamic Effect- Cone of Flame

Instead of focusing on a bolt, Solar Flame's wielder opens up a cone of fire that affects anyone in a 120 ft cone. 120ft Cone Fire Damage 6

Dynamic Effect- Control Plasma

Supernova can reshape Plama , including fire, at full strength, he can move ten 5 cubic feet blocks of Plasma into the same amount of space within range Move Plasma 10

Dynamic Effect- Plasma Bomb

Instead of focusing on a bolt, Solar Flame's wielder hurls a ball of concentrated plasma that explodes into a 30-foot area. Ranged 30ft Burst Plasma Damage 6

Dynamic Effect- Plasma Aura

Supernova forms plasma skin around his body, which causes damage to the things that touch him.  Plasma Aura 5

Dynamic Effect- Plasma Flight

Focusing the Solar Flame through his hands and feet, Supernova can propel himself through the air with tremendous speed Plasma Flight 10

Dynamic Effect- Line of Flame

As opposed to focusing on a bolt, Solar Flame's wielder forms a column of fire that affects anyone in a 60 ft Line. 60 ft Line Fire Damage 6

Alternate Effect- Nova Blast

Supernova collects the solar flame within him and releases it in a 30 ft area 30ft Burst Fire Damage 10

Complications

Motivation (Duty to Solve his Father’s Murder)- Supernova witnessed his father’s death in his childhood home, and he kept the knife that delivered the wound. The potential for collecting a clue on this case would utterly captivate Supernova.

Motivation (Thrills)- Supernova is also a thrill-seeker, and loves to take the biggest risk possible.

Power Loss- Supernova's powers will not work in a vacuum, or under much pressure from water or other fire-retardant substances.

Responsibility (Firepower)- Supernova’s powers require constant control- if let out on their own, he could ignite his entire environment.
